Introduction of the chrome ore beneficiation plant

chrome ore deposits are mined by both underground and surface techniques. most chrome ore must be processed by the chrome ore processing plants. the main chrome ore beneficiation method is gravity separation. The mainly used chrome ore concentration equipments used in the gravity separation are jaw crusher, cone crusher, vibrating feeder, vibrating screen, jigger, shaking table, spiral classifiers, etc.

 

Process Description of the chrome ore beneficiation plant

Ø large raw chrome ore are fed into the jaw crusher by feeding equipment for primary crushing and are crushed to 8 inches or smaller. the crushed material will be transferred to cone crusher by belt conveyor for secondary crushing; the crushed chrome ore stone will be transferred to vibrating screen for classifying. after classifying, the parts with the suitable mesh size will be transferred away as final products, while the other parts will be re-fed to cone crusher for crushing again, thus forming a closed circuit. The size of the  final products can be combined and graded according to customer’s requirement.

Ø the fine crushed chrome ore is fed to ball mill for grinding. inside the ball mill, the crushed chrome ore will be grinded to about 0.2 mm with 3-inch steel balls.

Ø screened products are transported to the jigger for rough separation and to three shaking tables for fine separation. then, tailings are delivered into the jigger in the next stage for screening for 4 times as this. all tailings in the concentrating table are sent to tailings reservoir after tailings dry stacking.
